These terms govern your use of Pumpt (the "App"), operated by Akanksha Maurya, based in Paris, France ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these terms.
Pumpt is a personal training, nutrition, and journaling app with an AI companion ("PuM") that gives commentary and suggestions based on the activity you log. Pumpt is not a medical device, and PuM is not a medical professional. Nothing in the app is medical advice. See our Privacy Policy §2 for more on how automated recommendations work.
Participation in exercise, fitness training, running, strength training, and nutrition changes involves inherent risks, including injury, illness, or death. You voluntarily assume these risks when using Pumpt and following any recommendation generated by the App.
Injuries and health conditions: if you are injured, recovering from injury, pregnant, have a medical condition, or experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms, stop exercising and seek appropriate medical advice. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are unsure whether an activity is safe for you, consult a qualified healthcare provider before following any training or nutrition suggestion in the app.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Pumpt. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately (privacy@pumpt.fit) if you suspect unauthorized access. You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this is permanent and immediate.
You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another user's account or data; or reverse-engineer or interfere with the app's infrastructure.
You own the training logs, journal entries, and other content you create in the app. You grant us the limited right to store and process it solely to provide the app's functionality to you (see our Privacy Policy for details on processors involved).
PuM's responses are generated by an AI model and may occasionally be inaccurate, repetitive, or miss context. Use your own judgment, especially for anything related to health, injury, or nutrition.
Training plans, adaptations, and recommendations — including adjustments based on logged fatigue, alcohol, stress, illness, or menstrual cycle data — are generated automatically based on information you provide and may not be appropriate for your individual circumstances.
We do not guarantee any fitness, health, weight loss, strength, performance, or athletic results from using the App.
Pumpt may integrate with third-party fitness, health, or wearable platforms (for example, Apple Health, Health Connect, or Garmin), and uses Open Food Facts, a community-run database, to look up nutrition information when you scan a barcode. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of third-party services.
Pumpt is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we'll clearly disclose pricing before you're charged anything, and these terms will be updated accordingly.
The app is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We're a small, early-stage product — bugs happen, and we appreciate reports at support@pumpt.fit.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any injury resulting from following training or nutrition content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under French or EU law (e.g., for gross negligence or death/personal injury caused by our negligence).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence if you are an EU resident.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect. Continued use of the App after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those updated terms.
